Sensor calibration
The electrical properties of different materials can be quite diverse and it is often
necessary to calibrate the moisture sensors to suit different materials.
Hydro-View allows the calibration values for up to ten different materials to be stored
internally in a material table which can then be recalled instantly by using a Material in use
number. This number can be selected either locally at the keypad or remotely using the
serial ports.
The Hydro-View uses a two-point calibration method which requires you to enter values
from two samples of material at different moisture contents. A minimum difference of 1%
in moisture content between the two samples is required to reduce possible calibration
errors, although a larger difference is preferable.

Advanced user options and configuration
Allows calibration values to be set from the results obtained by
taking laboratory samples.
Displays the sensor input prior to scaling for use during
calibration.
Allows the operating parameters of the sensor to be adjusted.
Allows the analogue output range and variable to be adjusted.
Displays some engineering values about the sensor and the
Hydro-View.
Determines whether the internal bleeper is sounded when a
sensor alarm is triggered.
Determines how the Material in use number will be selected.
Configures the RS232 serial port.
Configures the (optional) RS485 port.
Sets how frequently moisture data will be sent to the serial
port(s).
Sets the station number of this Hydro-View unit in a multi-drop
configuration.
In a master/slave Hydro-View configuration, determines how
many slave units are to be used.
Displays performance information about the RS232 and RS485
communications ports.
Selects how digital input 1 will be used.
Selects how digital input 2 will be used.
Allows the operating language of the Hydro-View to be chosen
from a list of supported languages.
Allows factory default parameters to be restored.
Executes a set of diagnostic programs on the Hydro-View to
verify operation of the unit.
