It is legitimate for the moisture value to display a negative value - in some processes this
is a useful measurement related to water absorption whilst in others it may indicate that
the calibration of the sensor is incorrect.
Note that the Average value is not indicated immediately but is shown the first time that
the value is computed following the application of power to the Hydro-View. Thus systems
not using the averaging facility will only see the Now moisture value displayed in large
characters at the top of the display.

following keys...

Max / Min % display

The maximum and minimum instantaneous moisture values occurring within an averaging
period are recorded by the Hydro-View and may be displayed on demand by pressing the
left-hand soft key (maximum %) or centre soft-key (minimum %). The maximum or
minimum value will replace the 'NOW' value in the lower left-hand corner of the moisture
display page whilst the associated key is held down.
Note that these values are only available when the batch averaging facility is being used.
This is computed and updated continuously by the Hydro-View from
the readings taken by the moisture sensor.
This value is normally used for batch mixing type control systems in
conjunction with the Hydro-Mix sensor, a stable value indicating that
the material in the mixer is homogeneous.
This value would also be used in the continuous process type
application.
This is the average of the 'Now' value beginning at an off to on
transition of the Average/Hold input and therefore represents the
average moisture content in a batch of material. The average value is
continuously updated until the input is turned off, at which point it is
frozen until the start of the next batch.
This value is normally used in ready-mix and similar batch weighing
applications in conjunction with the Hydro-Probe and Hydro-Skid
products.
