Richmond Ultra Low Bed – Service Manual
Disengage the brakes, move the bed 360°. All castors will swivel and move freely.
Safety sides
Raise the side rails and ensure they lock in position. Pull the quick release on the side rail
down towards the floor, then slowly slide the top rail towards the foot end of the bed.
Manual CPR
Raise the back rest section. Lift the manual CPR lever towards the foot end of the bed. The
head section will lower. A small amount of weight may need to be added to the back rest
section in order for it to lower.
Calf rest
Fully raise the knee break using the nurse handset. Lift the calf section slowly. A click will
be heard when it reaches a position on the ratchet. Allow the section to rest on each
position of the ratchet to ensure it correctly engages. Fully lift the calf section to allow the
calf section to be lowered.
Extension
Loosen the handscrews and ensure the extension can slide out to the designated red lines.
Return the extension and retighten the handscrews.
Linen tray
Slide out the linen tray to ensure there are no restrictions. Return the linen tray.
Battery check
Remove the mains lead from the power supply. Test all automated functions. Reconnect
the mains to the power supply and ensure the green LED is lit on the control box.
