4.5 Connect pump and riser pipe (➲ Fig. [8])
▶ Fit connection socket with sealing gasket to pump. 
▶ Push riser pipe incl. hose connection onto socket. 
▶ Lower pump incl. riser pipe into the chamber by the handle. 
▶ Close locking lever.
▶ if necessary Adjust the height of the riser pipe:
▶ Loosen the hose clamp.
▶ Align the backwater preventer (horizontal pipe) vertically. (Faulty
installation impairs the performance of the backwater preventer
and leads to increased wear.)
▶ Tighten hose clamp.
▶ Pull the mains connection cable of the pump through the cable
conduit.
