6. Maintenance

L EN 12056 must be heeded during maintenance.
6.1

Maintenance interval

According to standard specifications, maintenance must be carried out at the
following intervals:
• Every quarter in the case of systems in businesses
• Every six months in the case of systems in multi-family homes
• Every year in the case of systems in single family homes
Visual inspection: The system must be checked once every month by the operator
through observation of two switching routines for operational ability and leaks.
6.2

Functional check/cleaning

Isolate the system.
Make sure that the electrical components are disconnected from the
power supply during work.
Pump and pressure pipe maintenance:
▶ Open the locking lever ➊.
▶ Pull the pressure pipe complete with pump out by the handle ➋.
▶ Check pump components for distortion and deposits, contact KESSEL
Service if necessary.
▶ Ensure the moving parts can move easily.
▶ Pull the alarm probe out ➌, clip the protective tube off and clean
both in a water bath.
▶ Pull the submersible pressure switch out and clean with water ➍.
▶ Carry out a visual inspection of the fitting parts.
