5 Starting and Configuring the Router

5.1 Starting the Router

5.1.1 Powering On the Router

Check Before Power-On
Check the following items before powering on the router:

The power cable and grounding cable are connected correctly.

The voltage of the power supply is consistent with the router requirements.

The micro computer or laptop computer used for configuration has been powered on and configuration has been
completed.
Before powering on the router, confirm the position of the power switch so that you can cut off the power supply in
time if any accident occurs.
Powering On the Router
Connect the power cable to the router.
Check After Power-On
Check the following items after the router is powered on:

Indicators on the front panel of the router are in normal state.

Criterion: The SYS indicator is solid green if the router runs properly after being powered on.

Web-based configuration terminal is operational.
5.2 Configuring the Router
5.2.1 Configuring the Router Through Web-based System
You can start the Web-based management system on a browser (such as the Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome) to
manage network devices, such as routers and switches. This simplifies device configuration and improves the ease of
use of products.
By default, the Web service is enabled on the RSR10-01G-T(W)-I V2.00 series routers. The default IP address is
192.168.1.1, and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. The Web management account is admin, and the password is
also admin.
Start the Internet Explorer, and enter "http://192.168.1.1" in the address bar to log in to the Web management system of
the router.
