Read all of SAFETY and this section before attempting any procedure. Pay particular attention to Notices, Cautions, Warnings and Dangers.
Inspect the tread wear.
Check the tire pressure daily, while the tires are cool. Use an
accurate low-pressure tire gauge.
Refer to the graphs for the front and rear tire pressures.
Wheel Mounting
behind the wheels that are not lifted.
Remove dirt, grease and oil from the stud threads. Do not lubricate threads.
Put the wheel on the hub. Inspect the wheel to make sure of full contact between surface of
wheel and hub.
Tighten all hardware with your fingers, then torque hardware in the order shown. When possible,
tighten nuts in the top position.
Check and torque hardware each day to maintain a torque value of 85-95 ft.lb. (115-128 Nm).
DO NOT try to put a tire on a rim
unless you have training, tools and experience. Incorrect mounting can
cause an explosion which can cause injury or death.
Park the vehicle on a solid and level surface. Never work on a vehicle
that is supported only by the jack. Always support the vehicle with jack
stands.
If only the front or rear of the vehicle is lifted, put chocks in front of and
