OPERATING PROCEDURES
Read all of SAFETY and this section before attempting any procedure. Pay particular attention to Notices, Cautions, Warnings and Dangers.

Towing The Vehicle
If the vehicle has a problem and can not be driven to the service area, tow the vehicle at a slow speed for short distances.
To tow the vehicle:
1. The vehicle has four tie-down locations. Connect the tow-line
to one of the vehicle tie-down locations.
2. Make sure the accessories are lifted. If the accessories cannot
be lifted, remove them from the vehicle.
3. An operator is needed to steer the vehicle and operate the
vehicle brakes.
4. Press the brake pedal, put the transmission in neutral and dis-
engage the parking brake.
5. Slowly drive the tow vehicle until the tow-line is pulled tight.
6. When the vehicle is towed, try to keep the tow-line tight. Be
careful on slopes or when turning the vehicle.
7. When the vehicle gets to the service area, engage the parking
brake and put the transmission in 1st gear.

When the vehicle is towed, to prevent injury or vehicle damage these
guidelines must be followed:
Never accelerate or stop the vehicle suddenly.
Never change the direction of the vehicle quickly or make sharp turns on a slope.
Never tow the vehicle at more than 5 mph (8 kph). Towing a vehicle at an increased speed
can cause a loss of steering control of the vehicle(s).
When you tow a vehicle, adjust your speed for weather and surface conditions.
