Read all of SAFETY and this section before attempting any procedure. Pay particular attention to Notices, Cautions, Warnings and Dangers.
Do not overfill the fuel tank. Leave 1 inch (2.5 cm) minimum between fuel and lower edge of filler neck.
Diesel Engine: Use clean, fresh No. 2 ultra low sulfur Diesel fuel with a minimum Cetane Rating of 45. Use of Diesel fuel
additives are not recommended.
Gasoline Engine: Do not use premium gasoline or an oil-gasoline mixture. Use clean, fresh, regular unleaded gasoline,
85 octane minimum. When using blended fuel, do not use a blend with more than 10% ethanol. Under no circumstances
should you use a blend with methanol. Refer to the engine's operator manual for fuel recommendations when using
blended fuel.
Check fuel hoses and clamps every 50 hours. Replace at first indication of wear or damage.
Store fuel according to your local, state or federal regulations and instructions from your fuel supplier.
Never allow the tank to become empty. The level of fuel is shown on the gauge panel.

FUEL SYSTEM

Diesel Fuel Filter
Replace the fuel filter every 400 hours.
1. Stop the engine.
2. Close the valve on the filter. Loosen the bleeder screw to release system
pressure.
3. Remove the ring nut and the bowl from the fuel filter. Clean any fuel spills.
Remove the filter element.
4. Assemble the new filter element, bowl and ring nut to the filter base.
Tighten the ring nut with your hand.
5. Open the filter valve.
6. Bleed air from the fuel system.
Gasoline Fuel Filter
Replace the fuel filter every 400 hours
1. Stop the engine. Wait for a few minutes for the fuel system pressure to
release.
2. Remove the hose clamps and hoses from both ends of the filter.
3. Assemble hoses and clamps to new filter. Clean up any fuel spills.
4. Turn the key to the run position and wait for 20 seconds. Start the engine.
Refuel the vehicle before starting the engine. Never remove the fuel cap
or add fuel to the tank while the engine is running or hot.
Refuel outdoors only. Do not smoke when adding fuel.
If a fuel spill occurs, do not start the engine, but move the vehicle away
from the area. Do not allow sparks, open flame or other types of ignition
near the vehicle until the fuel vapors have dissipated.
Never store fuel containers near an open flame or any device that can
cause the ignition of fuel or fuel vapors.
Always tighten the fuel tank cap and container cap after refueling.
