It is not permitted to use the holding brake as a working brake.
When holding brakes are used, the user is responsible for observing and
complying with the specific technological and machine-specific regulations and
standards to maintain the protection and safety of personnel and machinery.
The risks that can result from vertical axes, for example, must also be evaluated.
4.3.4

Commissioning

Simple brake control is activated automatically (p1215 = 1) if the component has
an internal brake control function and a connected brake has been found.
If the component does not have an internal brake control function, control can be
activated via parameter (p1215 = 3)
Caution
If p1215 = 0 (no brake available) is set when a brake is present, the drive runs with
an applied brake. The can cause damage to the brake.
