Damaged or disconnected lines can cause death, serious injuries or property damage due to
whip-like movements and the spraying of fluids.
Note:
Check the fluid pressure lines for damage and a tight fit prior to every work process.
7.2

General information about commissioning and start-up

Adhere to the following general information for commissioning:
n
Only carry out the installation and start-up of the steam spray gun in accordance with the
steps described in these operating instructions.
n
Start the operation of the steam spray gun in accordance with the information in the operating
instructions of the steam spray system.
n
Check the material, steam, and compressed air hose lines for damage and tight fit before
each use.
n
Always observe the applicable country-specific safety, accident prevention, occupational
safety, and environmental protection regulations etc. for the area of use for the steam spray
gun.
n
Do not use sharply abrasive, chemically aggressive, very hot or very cold spray fluids without
first consulting with and receiving approval from Krautzberger GmbH.
n
Adhere to the spray fluid manufacturer's safety data sheets.
n
Only operate the steam spray gun in compliance with the values specified in the (
13 'Technical data' on page 44).
n
Only operate the steam spray gun after properly fastening it on a suitable support structure.
n
Do not hold the steam spray gun in your hand during operation.
n
Operate the steam spray gun with processed, dried compressed air (air quality pursuant to
DIN ISO 8573-1: quality class 4).
n
Never point the compressed air and the steam jet towards living beings.
7.3

Functional check

Leakage check
1.
Set the material pressure.
2.
Open the control air.
The needle opens, fluid must exit from the fluid nozzle.

3.
Close the control air again.
The needle closes, no fluid must exit from the fluid nozzle.
ð
4.
Visually check the connections of the steam spray gun for leaks.
