Before Firmware Update can be used the KTS must meet the following
requirements.

The Firmware Update feature must be registered through Feature
Activation. Refer to
2. Hardware
The hardware prerequisite for Firmware Update is that the CPU card in the
KSU houses a compact flash card. The compact flash card is used to store
the Firmware Update file before the operation is executed.

Accessing Firmware Update

When PCPro is connected to a KTS, access the Firmware Update dialog
by selecting the menu item

Using Firmware Update

Within the Firmware Update Dialog, perform a Firmware Update by
completing the following:
1. Select a Firmware package file.
2. Schedule when the Firmware Update will occur.
3. Press the 'Start' button.

Firmware Package File

Select a Firmware package file provided by NEC. Updating a KTS with a
faulty Firmware page file could render the system unusable.

Schedule

Schedule when the Firmware update will occur. The changes of the
Firmware Update will only occur after the KTS is reset. Thus the
Firmware Update should be executed at a suitable time when the KTS is
not actively in use.
The time you specify should be relative to the time on the KTS, not the
local time of the PC.
