5.2.3 Raising

To raise the column lifts, press the UP button (3). There is an arrow pointing up
beside this button.

5.2.4 Lowering

Operate button (6) simultaneously with button (4) to lower the column lifts. There is
an arrow pointing down next to button (4).
Note
n
If the foot protection has been enabled, the lowering action will be interrupted at
approx. 12'' above the floor. The column will be lowered further, with an acoustic
signal, when button (6) and button (4) are pressed again simultaneously.
Warning
w
If problem situations arise during raising or lowering, release the control buttons or
press the emergency stop.

5.2.5 Slow lowering

1.
Press the <SLOW LOWERING> button (turtle symbol). This function is activated if
the LED in the button is illuminated.
2.
Press the button again to deactivate the function.
If the "SLOW LOWERING" function has been activated, the lowering speed of the
column lifts will be reduced to 1/3 of the normal speed. This can be used when
building out gearboxes or to allow the vehicle to carefully be lowered onto an axle
support.
Caution
c
A column lift may come to a standstill when lowering columns if the "SLOW
LOWERING" function has been activated, to even out elevation differences. Once
the elevation difference has been levelled, the column will again be lowered.

5.2.6 Lowering in the safety locks

For lowering on the safety locks, simply press the DOWN button (4).
The column lifts will then lower no more than 1 3/8", until the safety pawls engage
the teeth in the safety lock profile. The drop-safeguard pawls can then no longer be
released. If the UNLOCK button (6) is now pressed, there will be no sound of the
pawls being released. Raise the column lifts again (to relieve the safety lock) so that
the column lifts can resume lowering.
Warning
w
Always lower the column lifts in the safety locks before carrying out any work on the
vehicle.
