Tape types
Normal (type I), CrOz (type 11)or metal (type
IV)
tapes can be used.
The tape type is recognized
and equalization
changed automatically
when a tape is inserted.
To stop play
Press
STOP.
To pause (deck 2 only)
Press II PAUSE.
To resume play, press 11PAUSE again.
To wind quickly
In the stop mode, press +/MS
or MS*,
then
K STOP to stop winding.
To reverse the direction of play
While a tape is playing or paused, press +E
PLAY/DIR. The blinking direction indicator shows
the playback direction.
To eject a tape
In the stop mode, push on the A EJECT mark.
@ When listening
to a tape recorded
with
Dolby NR
The Dolby Noise Reduction system reduces tape
hiss and noise.
To play a tape recorded using Dolby B NR:
Press DOLBY NR repeatedly until the"~
ON"
indicator lights.
To play a tape recorded using Dolby C NR:
Press DOLBY NR repeatedly until the"~
ON"
indicator lights.
To play a tape recorded without Dolby NR:
Press DOLBY NR repeatedly
to turn off the
indicator.
To select the reverse mode (deck 2 only)
Press REV MODE repeatedly
until the desired
indicator lights.
To play one side only:
Turn on the 1 indicator.
To play both sides one time only:
Turn on the =)
indicator.
To play both sides repeatedly:
Turn on the(=)
indicator.
On deck 1, both sides are played once regardless
of the REV MODE setting.
When playback starts on the reverse side
If the reverse mode is =),
playback stops after
playing the reverse side, without playing the front.
On deck 1, the tape always
stops when the
reverse side is played once.
When tapes are in both decks
Before playback, press DECK 1/2 to select from
which deck to begin playback. A deck may also be
selected by opening and closing it.
The current tape deck is shown in the CD display.
The cassette deck tape counter
The tape count is shown in the display window
during tape deck operation.
The counter keeps
track of both decks while displaying only the count
of the current deck.
To reset the tape counter
After pressing DECK 1/2 to select the deck, press
COUNTER RESET. The tape counter for only the
selected deck is reset to "0000.
The counter is also reset when the tape deck is
closed.
Notes
. If <b
PLAY/DIR is pressed while listening to
another source, the TAPE function is selected
and playback begins from deck 2.
Noise maybe heard if a television set is on. If so,
turn off the TV or move it away from the system.
Tipos de cintas

CrO, (tipo II), ode metal (fipo IV).

Para bobinar rapidamente
la cinta
En el modo

y despues
STOP a fin de parar el
bobinado.
Para invertir el sentido de reproduction
Durante la reproduction o el modo de pausa,
presione 4>
PLAY/DiR. El indicador de sentido
parpadeante mostrarael sentidode reproduction.
Para extraer el casete
En el modo de padada,
presione
la marca A
EJECT del deck de casetes.

una cinta grabada
con el
sistema de reduccion de ruido Dolby
El sistema de reduccion de ruido Dolby reduce el
siseo y el ruido de la cinta.
Para reproducer una cinta grabada con el sistema
de reduccion de ruido Dolby B:
Presione DOLBY NR de forma queseencienda
el indicador "m ON".
Para reproducer una cinta grabada con el sistema
de reduccion de ruido Dolby C:
Presione DOLBY NR deforms queseencienda
el indicador"~

Para reproducer una cinta grabada sin el sistema
de reduccion de ruido Dolby:
Presione
repetidamente
DOLBY
NR hasta
que se apague el indicador.
