3.8.2 Port Mapping

The section Port Mapping provides the list of services and protocols that require their own port
number for communication. By default, the camera already has all the ports defined. On this page, the
user can modify the port numbers in case there is a specific need for that. Most often, the HTTP port is
changed to something other than 80 in order to match with easy-to-remember port forwarding rules of
the router that acts as a bridge between local area network and Internet.
Some items appear only if the camera model supports the function.
