Brake Warning Lamp
The brake w arning lam p w ill com e
on with the key in steering lock
position 2 and should go out when
the engine is running.
The brake w arning lam p w ill com e
on:
• when there is insufficient brake
fluid in the reservoir (engine
running and parking brake
released)
• when the parking brake is set
(engine running).
Warning!
Driving w ith th e brake w arn ­
ing lam p on can result in an
accident. Have you r brake
system ch ecked im m ediately
if the brake w arning lamp
stays on. D o n 't add brake fluid
b efo re checkin g the brake
system . O verfilling the brake
fluid reservoir can result in
spilling brake fluid on hot
eng in e parts and th e brake
fluid catching fire. You can be
seriously burned.
W hen the m inim um m ark on the
reservoir is reached, have the
brake system checked for brake
pad thickness and leaks.
To test the brake w arning lamp,
turn key in steering lock to
position 2. The brake w arning
lam p com es on, and should go out
w hen the engine is running.
