A n ti-T heft A larm System
The anti-theft alarm is a utom atic­
ally arm ed or disarm ed with any of
your ve h ic le 's keys or infrared re­
m ote control by locking or unlock­
ing either front door or the trunk.
A blinking lam p (1) indicates that
the alarm is arm ed. Now the
engine cannot be started.

O nce the alarm system has been
arm ed, the exterior vehicle lam ps
w ill flash and the horn w ill sound
interm ittently when som eone:
• opens a door,
• opens the trunk,
• opens the hood,
• rem oves the radio,
• sw itches on or bridges the
ignition circuit,
• steps on the brake pedal.
The alarm w ill last approxim ately
150 seconds in the form of b lin k­
ing exterior lam ps. At the same
tim e an additional horn w ill sound
interm ittently for 60 seconds,
pause for 30 seconds, and repeat
for another 60 seconds.
The alarm w ill stay on even if the
activating elem ent (a door, for
exam ple) is im m ediately closed.
Note:
W e recom m end that you carry the
flat key safely with you so that it is
alw ays handy. The flat key has the
sam e functions as the m aster key.
