Testing Infrared R em ote Control
C hecking Batteries:
If the transm it button (1) is
pressed longer than 1 s e c o n d ,th e
battery indicator lam p in the tran s­
m itter eye (2) briefly illum inates -
indicating that the batteries are in
order.
Change batteries if the indicator
lam p does not com e on.
Changing Batteries:
Slide release (3) laterally and pull
off battery cover (4).
Change batteries.
W hen inserting new batteries,
m ake sure they are co rrectly
installed.
Slide battery cover onto housing
until locked in place.
Im portant!
Batteries contain m aterials that
can harm the enviro n m e nt if d is ­
posed of im properly. R ecycling of
batteries is the preferred m ethod
of disposal. For disposal, please
follow m an u fa ctu re r's reco m m en d ­
ation on battery package.
R eplacem ent battery:
Type VA R TA V675P X or
equivalent.

S ynchronizing System :
The system m ay have to be re­
synchronized, if the transm itter is
w ithout voltage for several
m inutes.
To synchronize system , aim trans­
m itter (2) at a receiver (5) and
briefly press tran sm it button (1).
W ithin approx. 30 seconds, lock or
unlock the car at a door or the
trunk using the m aster key.
T he infrared rem ote control should
once again be operational.
