for a short time when you release the brake
pedal.
Malfunction
If a fault in the system occurs, these warning
lamps come on. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer
or a qualified workshop to have the system
checked.
Stop & Start
The Stop & Start system puts the engine
temporarily into standby – STOP mode – during
stops in the traffic (red lights, traffic jams, etc.).
The engine restarts automatically – START
mode – as soon as you want to move off.
Restart is instantaneous, quick and silent.
Perfect for urban use, the Stop & Start system
reduces fuel consumption and exhaust
emissions as well as the noise level when
stationary.
* Depending on version.
Operation
Going into engine STOP mode
The "ECO" indicator lamp comes
on in the instrument panel and the
engine goes into standby:
-
for the e-HDi Diesel engine, at speeds
below 12 mph (20 km/h), when you place the
gear selector in neutral and you release the
clutch pedal.
-
for the PureTech petrol and BlueHDi Diesel
engines, when the vehicle is stationary.
A time counter adds up the STOP
mode activation periods during a
trip. It is reset to zero every time
the ignition is switched on using
the key.
For your comfort, during parking
manoeuvres, STOP mode is not available
for a few seconds after coming out of
reverse gear.
Stop & Start does not modify the functions
of the vehicle, such as braking, power
steering, etc.
