  • Page 43: Events

Wintax – Events To help you to see quickly the most important alarms, we have defined events which create vertical blinking line on the graphs. For example on the engine layout, the bottom right window gathered all of the Events. On the others layouts, you may see Events which are connected to the layout you are looking (for example low oil pressure event for engine graph, low battery voltage for Elec graph…).

  • Page 45 Wintax – Layouts Turbo Main window – Left window gives you on overview of the functioning of the turbo. The turbo regulation works by 2 ways: – In low engine rev, there is a close-loop on the air inlet pressure, so a comparison between the air pressure and its target).
  • Page 46 Wintax – Layouts Main window Here you will be able to check if the Variable Valve Timing is working well: – Check the position error of the VVT is between -3 et 3 (limits represented by dashed lines) in the left window. An easier way to check if the VVT is working well is to check that green bars must be a way greater than the other (as for example here).
  • Page 47 Wintax – Layouts Electricity Main window Here you will be able to check all the voltages and currents: – In the top left window, you will be able to see the main voltage drops in same time as the total current increases and the reason why (mainly because of the start of the radiator fan, the starter or the PEAL electric motor.
  • Page 48: Fuel Pressure

Wintax – Layouts Fuel Pressure Main window Here you will be able to check if your fuel pumps are working well: – Check if both channels Fuel Pressure (PFuelHP) and Fuel Pressure Target (HPPump_Target) are close. An easier way to check this is to look at the histogram (which represent the difference between the Fuel Pressure and the Fuel Pressure Target) and check that green bars are a way bigger than the others.
  • Page 49 Wintax – Layouts Throttle Main window The left window will help you to check both throttle and pedal functioning: – Check that the 4 channels dedicated to throttle (target, calculated throttle position, throttle position 1 and 2) are same values. If Throttle1 and Throttle2 are different, it means that one of the electric track of the throttle is damaged. If Throttle differs from ThrottleTgt, it means the throttle command is not working well (electrical OC or SC with the loom between the ECU and the throttle body or Throttle motor failure).
  • Page 50 Wintax – Layouts Knock Main window The main window displays the filtered noise for every cylinder and the results of the knock diagnostic. These results are interpreted in the top right window (the boxes are on when there is a mild and/or strong knock detected for every cylinder). This allow you to check the engine functioning: if the strong knock diagnostic is on during an important part of the stage, it means there is probably knock for this cylinder.

When this threeshold is reached, the clutch is ON (PEAL_Cmd = 1) and the pressure in the PEAL accumulator (Paccu) drops.
