Installation and Wiring
Please note that only authorized Delta engineers or service personnel can perform wir-
ing or you can perform wiring only under the supervision of authorized Delta engineers or
service personnel. To connect the external battery cabinet(s) to the UPS, please refer to:

The external battery cabinet's protective device must be planned and designed by quali-
there are four selections, which are (1) a 4-pole DC circuit breaker or DC isolated switch
connected in series with a DC fuse, (2) a 3-pole DC circuit breaker or DC isolated switch
connected in series with a DC fuse, (3) a 4-pole DC circuit breaker and (4) a 3-pole DC
circuit breaker. For relevant values, please refer to Table 5-4. When choosing the ex-
ternal battery cabinet's protective device, please take the following factors into consid-
eration: (1) over current between the UPS and battery circuit, (2) short circuit, (3) wire/
cable materials, and (4) local electrical regulations. If you have any questions about the
external battery cabinet's protective device, please contact Delta service personnel. For
installation methods of the external battery cabinet's protective device, please refer to
Figure 5-28 ~ Figure 5-31.
The protective device is optional, and its type must be fast-acting DC circuit breaker or/
and fast-acting DC fuse. When choosing the protective device, please follow the instruc-
tions below.
(1) The protective device's rated current must comply with the current values shown in
Table 5-4.
