If you are replacing a server component or installing an optional device in the server, you need to take
out the node out from the rack enclosure, turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect all
external cables.
To remove the PCI riser-card assembly, complete the following steps.
Step 1.
Remove the compute node (see "Removing a compute node from a chassis" on page 77).

Step 2.
Remove the 3 M3 screws.
Step 3.
Grasp the PCI riser-card assembly at the front and rear edges (blue tabs) and lift to remove it
from the server.
Step 4.
Disconnect any cables from the adapters in the PCI riser-card assembly.
Step 5.
Remove the adapter from the PCI riser-card assembly (see "Removing an adapter" on page 108).
Step 6.
Place the PCI riser-card assembly on a flat, static-protective surface.
If you are instructed to return the server component or optional device, follow all packaging instructions,
and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.

Use this information to replace the PCI riser-card assembly.
