Install controller box

Install the controller box.
Procedure
Install the controller box in a location that meets the local
code and close to the disconnect, if possible. Installing the
controller near the top of the stairway is always better.
1 If installing the controller box at the top landing, feed a
fish tape into the optional centre rail tube from the top
of the rail so it comes out at the bottom.
2 If installing the controller box at the bottom landing,
feed a fish tape into the optional centre rail tube from
the bottom of the rail so it comes out at the top.
3 Attach the cables to the fish tape and pull them through
to the other end of the centre rail tube.

4 Mount the controller box close to the disconnect if
possible. Make sure it is easy to see into the box and that
the cabinet door can be fully opened. Be sure the box is
level before securing it in place (four screws).

5 Route the cables from the centre rail tube to the
controller box, routing them and installing them in the
proper conduit, as required by code.
6 Feed the cables into the controller box and connect per
the electrical schematics.
7 When routing the cables, use conduit as required per
local code.

Connect motor wiring

Connect the motor wiring.
Procedure
WARNING
Ensure that fuses F1 and F2 in the controller box
are deactivated.
1 Connect the drive unit wiring. Refer to the Electrical
Schematics provided with the lift and the plan
drawings.
2 Verify the correct drive direction of the motor.

3 Connect the brush contact on the drive unit with the
'Ra' and 'Sa' (or 'R' and 'S') connections in the controller
box per the Electrical Schematics.
