7 Servicing
Note
The control and automation unit was
checked by SAMSON before it left the fac-
tory.
− The product warranty becomes void if
service or repair work not described in
these instructions is performed without
prior agreement by SAMSON's After-sales
Service department.
− Only use original spare parts by
SAMSON, which comply with the original
specifications.
7.1 Updating the firmware
The unit's firmware needs to be updated af-
ter certain applications and functions have
been revised. The firmware is updated using
a USB flash drive

The USB flash drive must have the FAT32 for-

mat, assigned the name "TROVIS 6611" and
have the same folder structure.
This procedure requires administrator privi-
leges.
Î Insert the USB flash drive containing the
firmware into the front USB port.
Î Go to the main menu (
Î Select "Update firmware" in "USB" and
select the required project.

7.2 Preparation for return ship-
ment
Defective units can be returned to SAMSON
for repair.
Proceed as follows to return devices to
SAMSON:
1. Put the unit out of operation.
2. Send the unit to your nearest SAMSON
subsidiary. SAMSON subsidiaries are

9.1 Decommissioning
1. Disconnect the unit from the power sup-
ply.
2. Undo the screws on the guide rails and
remove the unit.
