Once Bluetooth's enabled on your phone, you'll need to create a profile for your headset:
1. Press the Setup button
2. Scroll to 'User preferences' and press Select
3. Scroll to 'Bluetooth configuration' and press Select
4. Scroll to 'Bluetooth mode' and press the right arrow key to choose one of the following:
a. Phone - choose this option if you want your Cisco SPA 525G2 IP phone to be paired with a
Bluetooth headset only (i.e. you don't want to pair it with a Bluetooth-enabled phone as
well)
b. Both - choose this option if you want your Cisco SPA 525G2 to pair with a Bluetooth
headset and Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone (see 'Using the Cisco SPA 525G2 with a
Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone' for more information)
5. Press 'Set'
Note:
Your Cisco SPA 525G2 IP phone will only connect to one device at a time.
6. If multiple Bluetooth devices are in range of the Cisco SPA 525G2, the first device to be connected
will be the one prioritised in your Bluetooth profiles list (Bluetooth Configuration > Bluetooth
profiles).
7. Scroll to 'Bluetooth profiles' and press the right arrow key to see the profile screen
8. Press 'Scan' to search for your headset
Note: Your Bluetooth headset might not be found if there are lots of Bluetooth-enabled devices near
you. If this happens, check the headset is on and has Bluetooth activated, then try again.
9. Choose your headset in the list of devices found, then press the select key or 'Connect' soft key to
edit the profile
10. Scroll to 'PIN' and enter the PIN code for your Bluetooth headset
11. Scroll to 'Connect automatically' and press the right arrow key to activate
12. Press 'Connect' – a tick will appear next to the headset when the connection's successful
Using a headset with an IP phone
Note:
Steps to use your headset with the SPA IP Phone may vary. Consult the user documentation for
your headset for more information.
 To use a wired headset, press the Headset button on your phone and dial the number to place a
call. Press the Headset button again to answer an incoming call
 To use a non-Bluetooth wireless headset (such as Jabra or Plantronics), you might need to take the
receiver off the hook before making a call through the headset
 To use a Bluetooth headset, first make sure your headset's turned on. Then press the Headset
button on your phone (or, if supported, press the Answer button on your Bluetooth headset twice)
and dial the number to place a call. To answer an incoming call, press the Answer button on your
headset
