13.1 Error Messages

The 520 indicator provides a number of error messages. When an error occurs, the message is shown on the
indicator display. Error conditions can also be checked remotely by using the XE EDP command as described in
Section 13.3 on page 66.
13.1.1

Displayed Error Messages

The 520 provides a number of front panel error messages to assist in problem diagnosis. Table 13-1 lists these
messages and their meanings.

Description
Call RLWS Service.
Use TEST menu to perform DEFLT (restore defaults) procedure (see
Section 13.13 on page 79), then recalibrate load cells.
Recalibrate load cells.
A/D converter requires recalibration. Call RLWS Service.
Use TEST menu to perform DEFLT (restore defaults) procedure (see
Section 13.13 on page 79).

Battery weak or not installed. Replace battery, then use TEST menu
to perform CLR NV (clear non-volatile storage) procedure (see
Section 13.13 on page 79).

Press ACCUM to display accumulator value, then press CLEAR
twice to clear the accumulator.
Input voltage too low.
Weight value too large to be displayed.
Gross value exceeds overload limit. Check configuration.
A/D reading < –4 mV. Check scale for binding or damage.
Replace battery.
Do gravity adjustment calibration or check gravity adjustment
settings.
Indicator unable to calculate piece weight. Check quantity size on
scale.
Option unable to initialize. Check option board connection or
replace option board.
