In addition, you can specify that packets that contain a specific
IP or MAC address as their destination, will receive the actions
specified by the replace_dscp:, priority:, or replace_priority:
click-boxes.
The IP or MAC address is entered into the
appropriate field that appears when these options are selected.
You can also specify that packets that have a specified TCP or
UDP port number in their headers will receive the actions
specified by the replace_dscp:, priority:, or replace_priority:
click-boxes. The TCP or UDP port number is entered into the
Value field.
The replace_dscp: click-box instructs the switch to replace the
DSCP value (in a packet that meets the selected criteria) with
the value entered in the adjacent field.
The priority: click-box instructs the switch to use the 802.1p
priority value entered in the adjacent field for packets that
meet the criteria. A number between 0 − lowest priority, and 7
− highest priority, can be entered.
The replace_priority: click-box instructs the switch to replace
the 802.1p value (in a packet that meets the selected criteria).
In this way, packets meeting the criteria can have their priority
handling modified for use within the switch, and then have a
different priority value assigned when they leave the switch.
