General
A.
To report major structural damage, fill out the Structural Damage Report and Repair Request and the Major Structural
Damage Reporting Form. Forward both forms to Cessna Citation Customer Support with the provided Structural Damage
Report Fax Cover Page. These reporting forms are for use only for major damage that is either not addressed, or is
beyond that covered, in the Model 510 Structural Repair Manual.
B.
Guidelines for Completion of Major Structural Damage Reporting Form is provided for further reference and assistance in
defining necessary, detailed data and information. It is highly recommended that the guidelines be thoroughly reviewed
prior to submitting damage documentation. Complete and accurate specification of all data and information is required in
order to support appropriate and timely damage assessments and repair definition(s).
C. Use the Guidelines for Completion of Major Structural Damage Reporting Form to make sure all applicable data and
information is provided on the Major Structural Damage Reporting Form.
2.
Guidelines for Completion of Major Structural Damage Reporting Form
A.
Include detailed description on Major Structural Damage Reporting Form of the following items.
NOTE:
A sample completed Major Structural Damage Reporting Form is included.
(1) Identify damaged assembly and/or component.
(2) Identify damage location(s).
(3) Indicate the inspection method(s) used to originally detect damage.
(4) Identify damaged components or detail(s), include part number(s), if available.
(5) Identify damage type(s) e.g. crack, gouge, corrosion, etc.
(6) Include a detailed description of damage characteristics, e.g. length, depth etc.
B.
Include a sketch of damage and surrounding structure.
C. Include electronic photographs of damage and surrounding structure.

Major Structural Damage Reporting Form Guidelines for Specific Damage Types
A.
All damage
(1) Describe the location of the discrepancies by using airplane coordinates (e.g., FS, BL, WL) or distances from known
structure such as seat tracks, floor beams, bulkheads, frames, spars, stringers, ribs, doors, windows, or cutouts.
Refer to applicable Structural Repair Manual section for locations. Identify all damaged and/or affected components
or part numbers.
(2) Sketches should be drawn accurately and to an appropriate scale, with fastener locations and sub-structure
identified. (Include a surface "rubbing" if fastener pattern is non-uniform or of unequal spacing). Sketch details should
be bold in order to make sure faxed sketch will be readable.
(3) Identify airplane coordinates and/or orientation description, e.g. up, forward, inboard, on sketches.
(4) If damage was found during scheduled inspection, indicate applicable Inspection Item Code and/or Nondestructive
Testing Manual procedure.
(5) Report and fully define any existing repairs that are near, or that would overlap, the new repair. Indicate and provide
details of any existing repairs on the Major Structural Damage Reporting Form and/or damage sketch.
(6) Report whether the new repair will be in the vicinity of, or overlap, any existing altered or STC modified structure.
Indicate and provide details of modified structure on the Major Structural Damage Reporting Form and/or damage
sketch.
(7) If possible, take electronic photographs of damage, external and internal. If possible, take photographs at varying
distances and/or orientations from damage. Include surrounding, adjacent, and/or support structure in photographs.
Include a scale, if possible. Cross reference to sketch(es).
(8) Investigate for probable cause of damage.
B.
Crack, Gouge or Dent Damage
(1) Include all of the following, if applicable, on sketch(es): lengths, depths, widths, and orientations of cracks, gouges,
and dents; edge margins; fastener hole sizes; fastener hole spacing within the probable repair area; and location of
crack tip(s). Specify dimensions in inches.
