Using the app

Voicemail settings

Clearing the "new voicemail" notification
If the "new voicemail" notification remains displayed even if you have no new landline voicemail
messages, use this feature to clear the notification.

From the [Home Network] app home screen, tap [Settings].

Tap [Telephone Settings].

Tap [Remove Voicemail Notification] ® [Yes].
Voicemail tone detection (certain models only)
This feature is used to display "new voicemail" notifications. Turn this feature on if you use your landline
phone service provider's voicemail service ( "Voicemail support", Page 83).

From the [Home Network] app home screen, tap [Settings].

Tap [Telephone Settings].

Tap [VM Tone Detect].

Select the desired setting and then tap [OK].
*1 This feature is available for the following hub model numbers.
– KX-HNB600
– KX-HNB600C
– KX-HNB600ME

First ring setting (certain models only)

This setting determines whether the first ring is heard when a landline call is received. If your landline has
Caller ID service and you do not want your mobile devices and cordless handsets to ring before caller
information is received, turn this setting off. Note that you can only remove the first ring if the system
rings 2 times or more by default, which depends on your landline phone service.

Tap [Telephone Settings].
R The next step varies depending on the hub's model number.
3 KX-HNB600, KX-HNB600C, KX-HNB600LC, KX-HNB600ME
Tap [Call Block], and then slide the [First Ring] switch to the desired position.
R This setting only applies when there are phone numbers saved in the blocked caller list.
All other hub model numbers
Tap [First Ring], select the desired setting, and then tap [OK].

– KX-HNB600FR

Hub PIN setting (certain models only)

The hub PIN is required when using a cordless handset to perform certain operations. You can change
this PIN if desired.
