Using the app
Using night vision
If there is not adequate light to illuminate the subject, such as at night, the camera automatically switches
to night vision mode. When night vision mode is active, colors may appear different from normal.
Camera viewing options
The following items are available in the options menu (see "Displaying the options menu", Page 35)
while viewing live images from a single camera.
[Camera Speaker Volume]
Allows you to adjust the selected camera's speaker volume.
[Outdoor Camera Settings] (outdoor cameras only)
Allows you to adjust settings for the selected camera. See "Camera settings", Page 63.
[Indoor Camera Settings] (indoor cameras only)
Allows you to adjust settings for the selected camera. See "Camera settings", Page 63.
[Alert Log] (indoor cameras only)
Displays a log of previous sound alert and temperature alert detections.
[Device Profiles]
Allows you to change the settings described in "Setting device profiles (device names, locations, and
other settings)", Page 92, such as the camera's name and location.
Recording camera images

To record images automatically according to a schedule, see "Creating a scenario that uses a schedule
as the trigger", Page 50.
To record images automatically when a sensor is triggered, see "Creating a scenario that uses a sensor

Taking snapshots
To save snapshots (i.e., still images) while viewing live camera images, see "Taking snapshots",

Talking to the camera
To use your mobile device's microphone and the camera's built-in speaker to talk to someone where the
camera is installed, see "Talking to the camera", Page 59.
Playing a lullaby (indoor cameras only)

Recording camera images (manual recording)

You can record camera images while viewing live camera images. Recordings are saved on the hub's
SD card.

From the [Home Network] app home screen, tap [Camera].

Tap the camera image of the desired camera.

Tap [Video] to start recording.
R Recordings include both audio and video.
