Connection Procedure

Setting Errors

When a setting-related error occurs, the error name is displayed on the screen, and
a " " mark is displayed next to the input field which caused the error.
The error meanings are as shown below.
Error
Input error
Password setting error
Invalid SMTP
System failed to connect SMTP server.
System failed to connect POP3 server.
System doesn't support this auth type.
System failed to authenticate.
The system failed to send the test mail.
Wired network is down
At the time of Monday, it is already set.*
Cannot make network settings because
IPsec setting is ON.
Cannot make IPsec settings because
DHCP setting is ON.
* Messages vary depending on the day.
Meaning
A setting outside the valid range was set on the
settings screen.
The set password and confirmation password did
not match.
The SMTP server IP address has not been set.
Failed to connect to the SMTP server attempting
to send a test mail.
Failed to connect to the POP3 server attempting
to send a test mail.
An authentication type was set which is not
supported by the server.
Authentication failed attempting to send a test
mail.
Sending of test mail failed due to a connection
failure with the SMTP server or an error which
does not ordinarily occur.
Wired networking is disabled.
Failed to set the schedule, because operation is
already scheduled for the specified time and day.
It is not possible to make network settings
because IPsec is set to [ON].
It is not possible to make IPsec settings because
DHCP is set to [ON].
