Is the power cord connected correctly?
Since the VIMA uses a liquid crystal screen, it may happen that no text or
graphics appear in the screen if the temperature is below zero degrees Celsius
(32 degrees Fahrenheit).
The touch panel position may drift due to changes in the environment or the
passage of time. Correct the drift as described in "Calibrating the Touch
Screen (Touch Screen)."
Could the [VIDEO MONITOR] button be lit?
If the [VIDEO MONITOR] button is lit, the VIMA's display will show the same
image shown on the external display or television connected to the VIMA.
Press the [VIDEO MONITOR] button or the [EXIT] button so the [VIDEO
MONITOR] button is turned off.
If no songs are stored in "Favorites" and you select "Favorites" as the song
location, the song list will not appear.
The song list will not appear if you select "Ext Memory" or "CD" as the song
location when USB memory or the CD-ROM do not contain any songs.
You won't be able to select "Ext Memory" or "CD" as the song location if USB
memory is not connected or if no CD-ROM is inserted in the CD drive.
Is the pedal connected correctly?
Plug the cable firmly into the pedal connector.
Turn the adjuster located on the bottom of the pedal so that it firmly contacts
the floor.
Could you be using a connection cable that contains a resistor?
Use a connection cable that does not contain a resistor.
If the remote sensor is turned off, the data from the remote control unit will not
be received. Refer to "Disabling the Remote Control Unit (Remote Control)."
Are you using (optional) Roland USB memory?
Reliable performance cannot be guaranteed if you use non-Roland USB
memory products.
Are the external devices connected to more than one AC power outlet?
If you connect external devices, be sure to connect them to the same AC outlet.
If there is a cell phone nearby, the VIMA may produce noise when you initiate
or receive a call, or while you converse.
