Does the file contain song information (Sequence/Track Name Meta Event)?
The song name will not be shown if the song information in the file is empty or
consists only of spaces.
Is the filename eight or fewer characters?
If the filename is longer than eight characters, the file cannot be correctly
handled as song data.
Is the filename extension "MID"?
Files with other filename extensions cannot be handled as song data.
Song titles from a music CD cannot be displayed.
Could the [BALANCE] knob be set all the way toward "KEYBOARD"?
Could the [MUTE/CENTER CANCEL] button be lit?
If the [MUTE/CENTER CANCEL] button is lit, the vocal sound will be canceled
from the music CD playback. If the [MUTE/CENTER CANCEL] button is lit, the
melody of the music files will be muted.
Press the [MUTE/CENTER CANCEL] button so it's not lighted.
For some commercially available music CDs, the vocal portion cannot be
eliminated.
You can't record while a notation is being generated. When the notation has
been generated (the measure numbers in the screen are no longer
highlighted), try the operation once again.
You can't re-record onto a music CD.
If you perform while listening to a music CD, only your keyboard performance
will be recorded; the song from the music CD will not be recorded.
Your recorded performance will disappear if you switch off the VIMA's power
or select a song. There is no way to recover the lost performance. Before you
turn off the power, save your recorded performance in "Favorites."
