FUEL LIMITATIONS

Total Fuel: 56 U.S. gallons (2 tanks at 28.0 gallons each).
Usabl e Fuel (all flight condi t i o ns): 53.0 U.S. gallons.
Unusabl e Fuel: 3.0 U.S. gallons (1 .5 gallons each tank).
To ensure maximum fuel capaci t y and minimi z e cross­
feeding when refueling, al w ays park the airpl a ne i n a wi n gs­
level, normal ground atti t ude and pl a ce the fuel sel e ctor in
the Left or Right posi t i o n. Refer to Fi g ure 1 -1 for normal
ground atti t ude defini t i o n.

A DDITIONAL F U EL LIMITATIONS

Takeoff and land wi t h the fuel sel e ctor val v e handle i n the BOTH
posi t i o n.
Maximum slip or ski d durati o n wi t h one tank dry: 30 seconds.
Operati o n on ei t her LEFT or RIGHT tank limi t ed to level flight only.
With 1/4 tank or less, prolonged uncoordinated flight is prohi b i t ed
when operating on either left or ri g ht tank.
Fuel remaining in the tank after the fuel quanti t y indicator reads 0
(red li n e) cannot be safely used in flight.
Approved Fuel Grades (and Colors):
1 DOLL Grade Aviati o n Fuel (Blue).
1 00 Grade Aviation Fuel (Green).
