Technologies, Inc. 2.2 DESCRIPTION The SSPBM-K80-BTE is a 80 W Ku-Band hub-mount (outdoor) Solid State Power Block Up- Converter (SSPB). The entire SSPB is self-contained and is intended for mounting near the hub of the antenna. It incorporates DC main power supply and forced air-cooling system, see Figure 1: Product Outline (page 12).
  • Page 11: Up-Converter Assembly

Advanced Microwave Technologies DVANTECH SSPBM-K100-BTE 2.2.2 U ONVERTER SSEMBLY The Up-Converter converts the input L-Band carrier into a Ku-Band carrier. The 950 – 1450 MHz L-Band input signals are fed at the input co-axial interface connector. A block up-converter using a low phase noise RF oscillator, which is phase locked to the 10 MHz internal reference, translates the 950 - 1450 MHz L-Band frequency-range to 14.000 - 14.500 GHz Ku-Band frequencies.
