HYDRAULIC PUMPS
3 Tag and disconnect the hydraulic hoses from
the pumps and plug them.
Bodily injury hazard. Spraying
hydraulic oil can penetrate and
burn skin. Loosen hydraulic

the oil pressure to dissipate
gradually. Do not allow oil to
squirt or spray.
4 Support the pump and remove the two
drive pump mounting bolts. Carefully
remove the pump.
Component damage hazard.
Be sure to open the two hydraulic
tank valves and prime the pump
after installing the pump.
How to Prime the Pump
1 Connect a 0 to 600 psi (0 to 41 bar) pressure
gauge to the test port on the drive pump.
2 Gasoline/LPG models: Remove the high
tension lead from the center of the ignition coil.
Electrocution hazard.
Contact with electrically charged
circuits may cause death or
serious injury. Remove all rings,
watches and other jewelry.
Deutz Diesel models: Hold the manual fuel
shutoff valve counterclockwise to the
position.
3 Crank the engine with the starter motor for
15 seconds, wait 15 seconds, then crank the
engine an additional 15 seconds or until the
