If you are using a TRS-80, continue straight ahead. If you have an Apple, a Pet, or

any other computer, head straight for the special instructions that came with your

EPSON interfacing cable. When you have followed those instructions, return here,

ignoring future sections that are clearly written for the TRS-80, like the next

paragraph.

The other end of the Printer Cable hooks to the Printer Port on the Model I

Expansion Interface. Be sure the cable is positioned so the wires lead downward

from the plug, as shown in Figure 2-1.

If you are using some other "special" printer interface, follow any special direc-

tions that come with it.

Fire up the computer, loading in BASIC as usual. Turn the Printer ON. The 3

lights, POWER, READY and ONLINE should be lit.
