Adjusting for Paper Thickness

The MX-80 can print on all types of pre-printed multiple copy forms and carbons,

as well as ordinary printer paper. That's what the 7 position thickness control

lever is for (Figures 1-9 and 1-10). It moves the print head closer to or farther

from the paper. For ordinary single thickness paper, start out with the control

lever at about the middle position.

The big moment is getting closer.

Printers sold in the U.S. and Canada are designed for a standard 120V 60Hz out-

let, and have a 3 wire grounding plug. Do not attempt to defeat the grounding.

When you've located a proper outlet, see that the POWER switch on the right-

hand side (Fig. 1-9) is OFF, then plug the cord in!
