7.12. DISASSEMBLING THE PRIMARY SHAFT

Carry out the operations described in paragraphs
7.10. "Disassembling the belt" disassembling
also the left guards.
On both sides of the machine:
1. Back off the 2 screws d using an 8-mm hex
wrench, lock down the nuts on the opposite
side using a 17-mm wrench.
2. Remove the primary shaft assembly from the
machine.
During reassembly, lock down the
screws "a" using a torque wrench set for
44 Nm.
To disassemble the pulley:
1. Remove the key b from the shaft.
2. Back off the 2 grub screws c using a 3-mm
hex wrench.
3. Remove the bearing from the shaft.
4. Back off the 4 screws d locking down the
nuts on the opposite side, using two different
13-mm wrench.
During reassembly, lock down the
screws "a" using a torque wrench set for
22 Nm.
To reassemble the primary shaft assembly, carry
out the above steps in reverse order.
