12-4-2. Execution of Automatic compensation (DEFECT (SETTING) page)
1. Open the "<DEFECT (SETTING)>"page in SERVICE menu.
2. Confirm or set "SERV PICKUP LEVEL" item to "05". (Compensation works in the gain beyond the value
set up in this item.)
3. Select the "SERV PICKUP START" and push JOG dial. Clear the all Menu character and appear the
following message on the lower left side of the screen.
START?
! YES
NO
4. Select "YES" and push JOG DIAL again to start the automatic compensation. And while executing
automatic compensation, blink "PICKUP ACTIVE" character on the lower left of the screen. (It takes about
10 seconds). When "OK" character appears in the place of "PICKUP", automatic compensation is
completed.
<Note>
The automatic compensation is operated in the following mode. There are 2 steps.

: GAIN at 0dB and DS GAIN at +12dB.

Step : GAIN at +6dB and DS GAIN at +12dB.
5. Close menu screens and confirm the blemish is all compensated or not. If still appear some point, change
"SERV PICKUP LEVEL" setting to lower level (04,03,02 or 01), then start again "SERV PICKUP START".
6. If automatic compensation can not detect the all blemish, continue to next step "Manual Compensation".

Automatic detection level is as follows.
