PTO SHAFT OPERATION

1.
When working with the PTO shaft, take care for proper fitting of all guards.
2.
On termination of the work, always reassemble the PTO shaft guard.
3.
Connecting and disconnecting of the implement cardan shaft to the rear PTO shaft
should be performed only when the tractor engine is stopped, PTO shaft is disen-
gaged and the shifting lever of dependent and independent PTO speed is shifted
into N – neutral position!
4.
Connecting and disconnecting of the implement articulated shaft to the front PTO
shaft should be performed only when the tractor engine is stopped and PTO shaft is
disengaged!
5.
Any repairs or cleaning of implement parts driven by means of the PTO shaft
should be performed only when the engine is stopped, PTO shaft is disengaged
and the shifting lever of dependent and independent PTO speed is shifted into N –
neutral position!

Switches situated on the right-hand cab
pillar are used to engage and disengage
the PTO shaft (at minimum engine speed
1,500 rpm). The switches are fitted with
mechanical latches (1), which protect
against unintentional switching-on. To
change over the switch, push the latch
down.

When both switches are turned on, both
PTO shafts (front and rear) are put in
operation. The engagement of PTO
shafts is indicated by the lighting symbol
in the switch.
