CHECK OF TURBOCHARGER FOR LEAKS AND BEARING
CLEARANCES
In case that oil leaks from the bearing case round the shaft and
in case that the allowed radial and axial bearing clearances
have been exceeded, have the turbocharger repair performed
by an authorized workshop.
Replace the hoses at inlet and outlet turbocharger manifolds
during reinstallation of the turbocharger to the engine. Ensure
proper tightness of both connections. During turbocharger in-
stallation to engine, remember to fill the turbocharger with 0.2
litres of engine oil through the turbocharger oil filler hole.
The inner preservation of turbocharger must be re-
stored if the tractor has been out of operation for a long
time!
This will be restored even after short engine running. That's
why we recommend starting of the turbocharged engine at
least once in three month and running it for several minutes at
tractor, which is put out of operation. Hereby, the inner preser-
vation is restored.

LUBRICATION OF HYDRAULIC BRAKES COMPONENTS

clutch, brake cylinders and clutch release cylinder. Coat the
sliding surfaces of sealing rings in direction towards the outer
dust caps with special vaseline for hydraulic brakes (for exam-
ple Pentosin special). At the same time check rubber parts of
brakes. Replace the damaged rubber parts. Replace all rubber
parts after five years from the date of the tractor manufacture at
the latest.

GENERAL OVERHAUL

General overhaul of the tractor must be done in case that its
further operation is not economical, if many parts need repair
TRACTOR MAINTENANCE
and the general technical state of tractor jeopardizes its safe
operation.
The average service life of engine and transmission is 8,000
hours provided that all regulations for maintenance are kept
according to the technical documentation of the manufacturer
when the tractor is used in mild climatic conditions and in plain
terrain.
This number of operating hours is valid, provided that the trac-
tor working conditions are distributed as follows:
- ploughing and preparation of soil for sowing
- sowing and planting
- harvesting
- agricultural transport
If the tractor works in mountain and sub-mountain areas, the
service life of engine and transmission is reduced by 15 - 20 %.
If the tractor works in worse climatic conditions, the life of en-
gine and transmission is reduced by 15 - 20 %.
Note: The front driving axle is also included in transmissions.
TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE OF TRACTORS AFTER
GENERAL OVERHAUL OF MAIN ASSEMBLY UNITS
Run-in the tractor after general overhaul according to rules for
running-in of a new tractor. Perform the maintenance in the
same manner as at a new tractor.
