14 JTAG Programming Cable:

14.1

General:

Next to the regular Praesideo software, the Praesideo units contain also software that controls the network.
(CPLD). This software version can't be upgraded during the regular software upgrade. To upgrade the CPLD
software, a JTAG programming Cable and software needs to be used.

When upgrade the CPLD software:

The CPLD software upgrade mainly consists of network stability improvement.
Problems like; spontaneous "unit missing" fault events, Power amplifiers that remain in standby after a start up
of the system could benefit a CPLD software upgrade.
Note: Only upgrade if the CPLD software version of the unit is older than the supplied version.
(see chapter 15.1 for more information about this).
The JTAG Programming Tool and CD-ROM with software files can when needed be borrowed.
