General Fault Events

The following events can occur on the following types of units: Network controllers, Audio expanders, Power
Amplifiers, Call stations and Fibre interfaces.

Logs the absence / corruption of the configuration file. A default
will be configuration loaded. Can only occur at start-up of the
Network controller
None (a new default configuration will be uploaded)
Logs the (consistency) error in the configuration. A default will
be configuration loaded. Can only occur at start-up of the
Network controller. When needed, via the FTA the old
configuration can file be found.

Logs the break of the redundant most ring
The system detects that the system isn't redundant anymore
If you have a none redundant system: look into the configuration file
if you have chosen: redundant ring: No
Check If you can find other error messages, which could explain the
broken ring. (For example: a defective fiber interface)
Check if one of the POF cables is disconnected
One of the cables could be defect. (See chapter cable check 8.8)
Logs the memory error in a unit
Whether the flash memory was defective
Whether the EPROM memory was defective
None, please send unit for repair.
Logs the microphone failure of a microphone connected to a unit
The number of the audio input to which the microphone was
connected (only available when the unit is not a CST)
When more microphones in an application are used, exchange
microphones to see if the used microphone is defective
Logs the failure at the mains power supply of a unit
Check the mains socket for the correct mains voltage
Check the main fuse below the main switch at the back of the unit.
This event can also be triggered by power dips.
