Communication stability check

8.8.3.1
Software version lower than 2.1
The Power Amplifiers have a possibility to check if your system is running in a stable condition.
Go via the menu on the booster via the front knob to settings -> serial number.
Push the front knob for 5 seconds until you are in menu 2A. Turn the knob until you're in sub menu 2Ab
Now you can see the communication faults.
BE: Number of bit errors that occurred
LE: Number of Lock errors that occurred
RE: Number of Regeneration errors that occurred
During a reset of the system, communication errors are always generated.
To check if your system is unstable take the following actions;
1. Reset your system by switching "off" and "on" the NCO
2. Set the error counters of 2Ab to "0" via menu 2Ac
3. Look if 1 of the counters is increasing in number
Instability can be caused by cable problems:
Exceeding the maximum cable length
To sharp bends
Poor mounting of connectors
Or just a bad cable
From Software version 2.1 it's possible to lower the network signal –3dB: half power mode.
With the half power mode it's possible to find critical POF network problems.
The setting can be made in the configuration/diagnostic software -> Diagnose -> Installation.
Don't forget to set the mode to "full power" after the network communication is proofed ok.
8.8.4
