Additional Operating Information
Verification Line Polarity
The polarity of the verification lines is set following a preset of the
distribution boards for the switches it supports. The polarity can also be set
from the channel configuration window (Chapter 4) or with the command:
ROUTe:CHANnel:VERify:POLarity
The polarity settings are
- closed).
Verifying the Switch State Independently
Electronic verification of the switch position is also possible without enabling
verification from the channel configuration window (Chapter 4) or through the
ROUTe:CHANnel:VERify:ENABle
ROUTe:CHANnel:VERify:POSition:STATe?
verifies the channel state electronically and is useful when verification is
disabled for performance reasons.
Switch States Using Paired Channels
For paired channels, enabling electronic verification on the lower paired
channel also enables verification of the higher channel. The verification checks
for complementary switch positions of the lower and upper channels (i.e., the
position indicators should indicate opposite states). If the position indicators
are found to be in the same state an error is generated and the state of the
lower channel is assumed.
When the paired mode is disabled and pulsed mode is enabled, you cannot
query the channel state (opened/closed) unless verification is enabled. Also,
with this configuration, only "close" operations are allowed.

LED Drive Indicators

The distribution boards contain a ribbon cable header that can be used to
connect LEDs to provide a visual indication of switch state (Chapter 2). These
lines reflect the state of their corresponding channel's position indicator.
Some systems use the LEDs as a graphical indicator of switch positions.
The LED drive indicators are enabled following a preset of the distribution
boards (Chapter 4) and are also enabled with the command:
ROUTe:RMODule:BANK:LED:DRIVe:ENABle
The drive current for the LEDs can be set from the bank configuration window
(Chapter 4) or with the command:
ROUTe:RMODule:BANK:LED:DRIVe:LEVel
110
(active high - closed) or
