(6) Assembling piston and connecting rod
(a) Assembie the piston and the connecting rad
with
the WEIGHT mark of the piston and the
MATCHING mark of the rod on the same
side.
(b) Apply engine oil to the piston pin and insert
the pin into position.
(c) Install each snap ring in the snap ring graove
of the piston with snap ring pliers. Make sure
the snap ring fits in the groove praperly.

Install the snap ring with the ends toward the
bottom of the piston.
(7) Installing piston rings
(a) Put the compression rings and oil ring in the
ring grooves of the piston with piston ring
pliers (31391-12900).

Install the compression rings on the piston with
"R" or "T" mark toward the top of the piston.
