4.4.5.4 Torsional Damper and Pulley Assembly Procedures
After the assembly of timing gear, assemble the wheel hub, torsion damper, and pulley in
turn.
1. Fix the wheel hub onto the crankshaft by hexagon socket cylindrical head screws.
Hexagon socket cylindrical head screw: M16-12.9 (4 pieces); tightening torque:
(300~310) N.m; inspection value: (300~360) N.m.
2. Fix the pulley and torsion damper onto the wheel hub by pulley bolts. Pulley bolts:
M10-10.9 (6 pieces); tightening torque: (65~70) N.m; inspection value: (65~80) N.m.

4.4.6.2 Crankshaft Bearing Shell Disassembly Procedures
Push out the bearing shell from its side by hand, and mark the bearing shell dismantled,
corresponding to saddle bores of the engine block and main bearing cap.
4.4.6.3 Inspection and Maintenance of Crankshaft Bearing Shell
1. Clean the bearing shell, and check wear condition of the bearing shell.
2. Check whether the bearing shell is subject to metal peeling, damage to the locating lip
and transversal cracks.
4.4.6.4 Crankshaft Bearing Shell Assembly Procedures
1. First, clean main bearing shell and assembling holes, and wipe them clean.
2. If the bearing shell is not replaced with a new one, mount the upper bearing shell into
the engine block and the lower bearing shell into the main bearing cap in dismantling
sequence. Pay attention to differentiate the upper and lower bearing shells. The bearing
shell with oil groove is the upper one. If the bearing shell is replaced with a new one, it
