4.3.5.1 Exploded View for Assembly of Oil Pan

4.3.5.2 Oil Pan DisassemblyProcedures
1) Turn over the diesel engine with the oil pan facing up (point 1).
2) Disassemble the oil pan fixing bolts (point 2);
3) Disassemble the oil pan and sealing gasket;
4) Disassemble the magnetic plug and combination washers.
4.3.5.3 Inspection and Maintenance of Oil Pan
Point 1: Disassembly
Using a special tool, disassemble the camshaft bushing. While doing so, be careful not to
cause damage to other bushings. Place the container containing oil beneath the drain plug of the
oil pan, and use a screw plug wrench to loosen the drain plug to empty oil.
Point 2: Assembly
1) Apply sealant to the junction surface of cylinder block along the inner sides of
threaded holes.
2) Move the oil sump to align with the junction surface of cylinder block. Handle with
care when the oil sump comes into contact with cylinder block, in order to prevent
damaging the contact surface.
