Weekly Maintenance

1. Place the system in standby mode.
2. Wipe all surfaces of the EX3000 with a cloth dampened with germicidal cleaning solution.
3. Clean the vaporizer fillers, one at a time, as follows:
Note: The fillers must be kept free of dirt and hair to ensure proper vaporizer operation.
a. Remove the vaporizer filler cap.
b. Wipe the o-rings with germicidal cleaning solution to remove all dirt, hair, etc.
c. Wipe the inside of the filler funnel, using care not to let any cleaning solution enter the filler.
d. Reinstall the filler cap and tighten hand-tight.
e. Repeat Steps a. through d. for the other vaporizer filler.
4. Check the CO
absorbent canister for exhausted absorbent. If more than ¾ of the absorbent has

changed color, replace it as follows:
a. Remove the canister from the bottom of the machine.
b. Shake out the spent absorbent.
CAUTION!
c. Wash the canister in warm water, and dry thoroughly.
d. Wipe the canister gasket, located on the underside of the machine, with a clean cloth dampened
with germicidal cleaner. Make sure there is no absorbent residue remaining on the gasket
surface.
e. Fill the canister with fresh CO
f. Reinstall the canister, turn the fastening knob clockwise until snug, and then turn the knob
one-quarter turn more.
5. Perform a pre-use checkout as specified in
6. Check the cleanliness of the oxygen supply and scavenging hoses. Clean or replace as necessary.
7. With a cloth dampened with a germicidal cleaner, wipe the pole and base of the machine, paying
extra attention to the caster wheels. Remove hair and lint as much as possible to ensure smooth
operation of the wheels.
Maintenance
Do not bang the edge of the canister on any surface. This may damage the
sealing surfaces.
